Ladder Rules
All games will be graded and must be played with a clock.
Colours should be determined by a toss of a coin.
There will be two time control options, each qualifying for long-play grading by the E.C.F.:
1) 30 moves in 75 minutes followed by a quickplay finish with 15 minutes added to each player's clock. (These quickplay finishes shall be governed by the E.C.F rules currently in force).
2) 36 moves in 90 minutes followed by adjournment. After 3 hours play, the player due to move shall make a sealed move. The second session will be played at the same rate (36 moves in 90 minutes).
Players choosing option 2) should start no later than 6.30pm so as to allow time for a sealed move.
Where players cannot agree on which time control is to be used, the choice goes to the player receiving the challenge.
The default time will be 30 minutes after the agreed start of play.
Players should record their results on the ladder page in the red “Tournament Results folder
